Pearland Tree Removal Permits & Mitigation

Pearland has current tree-removal and mitigation rules, with an important homeowner exception for existing single-family parcels.

The City’s current quick-reference guide says a Clear & Grub Permit applies to removal of trees 12 inches or larger in regulated contexts, but it also states that homeowners on single-family parcels with an existing home do not need a permit to remove trees on their property. HOA requirements may still apply. Development and other regulated projects can have survey, disposition and mitigation requirements.
